Which Arthur Character(s) Are You
(Previously Posted as a Journal on my Deviant Art page)
I've been meaning to post this earlier and now I'm finally doing so:
One reason I'm starting this thread is to share which Arthur characters I am. And if you want, you can share which Arthur characters you are, or think you are.
Personally, I am a combination of Arthur, Buster, D.W., Brain, George, David (Arthur's father) and Carl. And possibly Fern.
One thing that makes me like Arthur, I wear glasses and I am an older brother, so I know how Arthur feels with the whole little sister thing. Unlike Arthur, I have an older sister, an older brother, and two younger sisters but share only one of my sisters with my mother and I lived with her since I was 5, well I spent most of my life with her. And yeah, like Arthur and D.W. did, my sister and I fought and couldn't stand each other, but we do love each other.
I'm like Buster because I like to eat. When I was younger, I used to eat so much and still be thin. I loved eating, at least when I got older and I almost always had seconds. But now that I'm getting older, I'm over 30 years old now, well, I can still eat a lot, but I have to watch it. I still eat bacon double cheeseburgers, and I like them with lettuce, tomato, pickle, and onion; pizza, French fries, pancakes, etc. I also like vegetables, even without butter or seasoning. Another thing that makes me like Buster, well I don't believe in aliens, although there were times in my life when I almost did, especially thanks to these documentaries about people seeing U.F.O.s. But now I know that there are no such things as aliens. I'm also like Buster because I'm a fun lover and my intelligence isn't that ideal. Oh and my parents are divorced and I live with my mother, but she doesn't just take care of me, I
take care of her too.
I'm sad to say that I am a bit like D.W., or have been. I can be very annoying and obsessive. I even had a history of not taking inconvenience very well, especially if it was something I really wanted to do. I've also been a complainer. So, like D.W., I can be a brat. I don't mean to be, but I am. And it's hard for even me to be patient.
What makes me like Brain? Well, I'm not as smart or hardworking as he is and I'd rather not say the real reason why I'm part Brain. Although I do tend to be correcting sometimes and if Brain is like this too, then we have in common that I do get annoyed easily.
George/Fern: Well let's say this, I think I'm more like George than Fern, not only because I'm male like George, but I am a shy person and I'm reserved. I'm also weird, well, I kind of like being weird some times but not all the time. And as I've said times before, I'm asocial, and I'm socially challenged, although I don't know if George is. I also keep to myself like he does, and I have isolated myself, and I think there are times I still do, and there will be more times I will in the future. And I wasn't always very popular and would be turned away or disliked by a lot of people. Thankfully I don't have dyslexia or nosebleeds but I'm sure I have some things in common with George. And I don't know if he has this or not too but I have low-self-esteem issues. I'm also like Fern, well, just a little. I think Fern is antisocial too and a shy girl. She also likes to write stories as do I but I don't write stories as much as she does and I'm not into mystery, at least not totally and I'm not into detective work, nor do I have the skills, desire, or patience for it.
I'm like Arthur's father David because I can cook. Although I'm not sure I can cook as well as he can. Maybe I do some things better than he does but I know there are things he does better than me. I can cook burgers, tacos, pancakes, spaghetti with meat sauce, baked chicken, fried chicken, and steak. I can also make grits, bacon (but not too well) and ground sausage. My macaroni and cheese still needs work and I still need to learn how to make meat loaf. I can also make pizza although I haven't in 10 years and I'd love to. I don't know how to barbeque though, frying, baking, and microwaving are all I can do. Wonder if Arthur and his friends, even Buster, would eat what I fix? And would D.W. too or would she be a food critic to my food like she was in the episode "D.W. Picky Eater." I can also bake cake, but I need to get myself into making home-made fruit pie (cherry, my favorite! and apple.) I also want to make pear pie only because apple pie exists and apples and pears are almost the same kind of fruits, though I like pears more than apples.
And I think many of you will know what makes me like Carl. But for those of you who don't, like Carl, I have Asperger's Syndrome. I also like trains but once again, more into railroad crossings. And I also don't like loud noises (as revealed of Carl in "Go Fly a Kite.") I don't know if Carl has anxiety attacks but I know I have them on occasion.
That's all I'm going to share. I may be other Arthur characters and may be more like the characters I listed than what I revealed, but this is all I will share.
Now it's your turn, "Which Arthur Character(s) are you?"
This was inspired by the segment "Which Arthur Character Are You?" that appears after the second cartoon segment, or part 2 of the Arthur episodes.

Re: Which Arthur Character(s) Are You
I am definitely Carl and Keith Powers. I have intense interests like he does. Also laugh at unusual things that other people wouldn't find funny.
The kind of things I laugh at is characters beating up other characters, people getting arrested on COPS, customers freaking out on Hardcore Pawn, people throwing tantrums and repeating parts in videos on YouTube.

I tend to laugh at things that aren't really funny too, although some of what I laugh at isn't funny per se, just interesting. Man I would get in trouble for laughing at things that were not funny but I couldn't stop myself though I tried. I can still have that problem. I would try to stop but I just couldn't and that was a trap!
I don't like seeing anyone (even cartoon characters) get beat up or see customers freaking out. Well I think there were times I enjoyed stuff like that, I mean I hated seeing Nelson, Jimbo, Kearny, and Dolph beating up on Bart and Milhouse but admittedly liked it when Bart beat them up, or at least Kearney and I did like it when the bullies beat each other up (to that was for a change). I also hated seeing Timmy Turner from Fairly Odd Parents get beat up, and I still hate that and I would have gotten a kick out of him beating others up and he did beat one person up, but I stay away from that stuff for my safety. I try to stay away from things that make me angry or rub off on me the wrong way.
I used to watch COPs and I did like that show and World's Wildest Police videos, although I watched those shows, especially the latter, just in case there were railroad crossings. I stay away from True TV now and shows like Judge Judy, Judge Hatchet, and other small claims court shows. I'm also not a fan of Operation Repo, Hell's Kitchen (yes that's what it's called or was called), Black Gold, Wife Swap, World's Strictest Parents, What Would You Do?, The Principal's Office, etc. Now I'm not saying any of you reading this shouldn't watch these, I'm just saying they're not for me.
I also prefer not to watch Youtube videos or visit the site itself, not for any reason (this is more of a psychological issue) and if I have to watch something on Youtube in order to watch it, I'd rather just not watch it at all, and this includes even train videos. Same with Vimeo and Google Videos (but I'm okay with Shutterstock, FlickR, Netflix, Amazon, and a little okay with Pond 5)

Re: Which Arthur Character(s) Are You
If Buster and Fern had a child, I'd be that child.
Expect my name'd be Baxter, not [REDACTED]... Anyway:
I'm Buster because I'm a big eater, I've always been fascinated by aliens, I like telling cheesy jokes, and I'm a goofball (according to many).
Anyone who likes to write is a Fern, regardless. I also may or may not suffer with depression, so that's another thing. I'm a little bit shy around people, even people I know.
While Brain and I disagree a lot, when it comes to certain things, I am a killjoy.
For example, if somebody says something about a movie I like, and they mess up their facts(like if they said, Luke wasn't DV's son), I'd straight up tell them that they're wrong, and provide a detailed analysis of their entire argument and prove them wrong because of their wrong facts... I don't do it often, but movies bring that out in me.
Some people say I'm bossy(albeit they are half my age, but anyway), but I take charge of a situation. In other words, I'm a leader.
I can also be a Muffy in that I love theatrics. I will dramatize the last drop of milk if it seems fitting. I'm not a Drama Queen though. I tell Drama Queens "please go away". So high school drama is not something I've gone through, and I hope to God that my daughter(if I should be granted one) doesn't tell me about her HS hi-jinks. I've be a good Bond villain though:
*spins around* "Good Evening Mister Bond. Are you enjoying Paris so far?"
Since Will counted this, I have glasses like Arthur. And at times, my life is sort of like his, without the annoying little sister to mess my life up though.
But I'm most like Buster and Fern though.
As to the above post, I'm not as corruptible as I probably should be, so a lot of bad stuff doesn't rub off on me. That isn't to say I don't like seeing the bad guy get it.
One thing in regards to the COPS discussion, I love, love, love police chases. Just something about seeing twelve cop cars tracking down a perp gives me happy chills.
I also love seeing interrogations, a la Law & Order. Just seeing a cop pick apart inconsistencies in a story, drawing out hidden angers(like hate of certain people, rich folk for instance) in a perp, even just seeing a cop just talk to a guy, get in good with him until he confides, I enjoy it. Again, theatrics is everything.
So, that's me, Arthur wise.

I also have a trait that Brain has too, always correcting people and being techinical about everything. The "Mr. Alwaysright" episode is just like me.
Re: Which Arthur Character(s) Are You
@ TheUltimateCombo (but anyone can read this of course) I like your description. I admit it, unless I already said it earlier, I'm a goofball too. 1 or 2 out of 3 people are and I'm one of the 1 or 2, but it's not all bad but it is good to a point.
I'm also a killjoy.
I almost feel like I should know who DV is and I had an idea earlier, at least I think I did but I cannot remember.
I was bossy myself, especially when I was little. I've even been told "Stop being bossy."
I too enjoyed police chases, but again in case a railroad crossing, and I'll add, drawbridges, were included and I admit, though I don't condone this in real life, I did like seeing gates get ran over and crashed through be them railroad gates, drawbridge gates, security gates, etc. I don't mind sometimes seeing it on TV and in movies (e.g. "The Net," "Cop and a Half," "Fast and the Furious"( I don't watch that anymore) The Simpsons episode "Kill the Alligator and Run" but not in real life.
I guess we're both like Buster and Fern so that we have in common. And I guess I should include Keith Powers on the autism thing.
So did you like the part in "Read and Flumberghast" where Timmy Tibble questioned Bud Compson? What other interrogations in Arthur did you like if you liked any?
My mother likes Law and Order, well watches it or has. And I think she too is a Fern Walters herself because she has written stories and might still do so.
Side note, like the added images to the initial post in this thread? Would be nice if I could do the images the way it's done on the Wikia. See this to see what I mean http://arthur.wikia.com/wiki/User_blog:Anythingspossibleforapossible/Arthur_wants_your_ideas_(2015_edition) my reply message under DJ MC CJ's starting with the brown 4th Grade Male Dog. Having rows of lines of sentences next to the picture.
